Brunette to Blonde Confusion?

I'm naturally brunette but want to go blonde...ish. I found a picture of the PERFECT hair I'd like. One problem that I've heard is that bleach and thick curly hair just DONT mix. I know it damages your hair...but i reallly want the color. If you guys can check out the picture and maybe give me some good insight on how I could get the style.

The advice to take the picture to professionals and let them see your hair and and picture is a good one. Most of the nightmares that you have heard about are because some person tried this at home or against a professionals advice.

Hair chemistry is very complicated. You can bet that Miss Duff did not get to look like that using some home product. Keep in mind that getting one's hair done for a photoshoot can cost upwards of $400 or $500. A pro spent a lot of time getting her hair to look like that.

Don't let this scare you. If you really want it, check out the color and style with some good professionals and take their advice.

I would say do your homework. Go to a couple of Salons and asks the opinion of professionals about it. That way they are seeing what they would have to start with and what the end result want to looks like. I know they can be kinda pricey, but it's worth it.

take the picture to your salon. take several your stylist will be able to tell you what she/he would look best and what they can do with your hair. I would not do it at home though because it is really tricky to lighten hair without it turning brassy and ravaging your hair.

You should probably go to a stylist and get their opinion first. Not everyone looks good with blonde hair. And diffidently DO NOT do it at home. My friend has thick curly hair and she did hers at home. It looked horrible and felt really fake. She had brown hair too and she tried to dye it blonde and it turned orange. And if you mess up and dye it back right away it can really damage your hair.
