You would have to straighten to get a perfect look. Remington wide ceramic straighteners are pretty good for curly hair

That would be very pretty! I have curly hair too and Ive had bangs for a few months now. What i do is shower at night and then let my hair air dry to prevent frizz and damage and in the morning i put RUSK hot iron protection spray on it which helps make it super straight and then i straighten it with a professional quality flat iron. When you get your bangs and they style it, pay close attention to how they straighten it or ask them to teach you what techniques would work best for your hair type. I hope you love your new style.

if you did get bangs, you should get ones that are longer, and 'sweep' them to the side. if you have very curly hair (almost kinky, even) do not get bangs.

if you do want straighter hair, straightening is the best answer to your question. always blow dry before you straighten, though. i also find that even sometimes when i blow dry my hair (mine is curly) it is not as straight as it is if i use a straightening iron on it.

i think you should feel flexible with your hair (it is yours, after all!) and do what looks good on you
