I want to get my hair like this, what do I say when I go to the salon?

This is what I want my hair to look like -

http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.co...

I know I could just print the picture off but i don't have access to a printer and i won't any time soon either, so I'm just wondering what should I say when i'm explaining how i want my hair done?

Also after my haircut, how and what would I use to get my hair wavy like in the picture?

I want to get my hair like this, what do I say when I go to the salon?

This looks like a short, layered hair cut with side bangs.

Tell them this when you go to the salon or you can look in their books and try to find something similar to this haircut so you can help show them something to give them an idea of what you are looking for.

In stylists terms this is a basic, 90 degree shoulder length haircut with side fringe.

To get your hair to look like this try putting your hair in the soft rod rollers at night. I've seen them for under $10 at rite aid. they are easy to roll in after your shower and are comfortable to sleep in.

haha i hope this has helped!

Hi

you would taek a picture of someone whos hair is like what you want yours like, or get one of the internet. You could ask your hairdresser on how to get your hair in certain styles. They should give you an answer, after all they are the hair experts !

I want to get my hair like this, what do I say when I go to the salon?

you could mabey look at magazines and get something similar. Or print it off at a friends house or the library. by the way, that is a very cute hair style!

Print out the picture (if you can find other angles of it because that would also help), give it to the hairdresser, and ask her to do that style for you.

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

This one is REALLY easy. Throw it into a messy bun. Let little curls stick out the best way to do this is to no look in a mirror..

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

im not sure but i think yourhairdresser willprobably have a rough idea ask him/her =]

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

ive got curly hair.you have to have it long or realy short.when its shirt you can spike it or slick it

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

no bangs!

long layers.

embrace your curls.

and use serum to get rid of the frizz!

curly hair without frizz is so nice!

and you're lucky cos it's a natural look for you!

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

let it grow long use some frizz ease I'm so jealous always wished i had naturally curly hair.

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

if you want to keep it curly, use products like mousse or gel to enhance the curl. I have frizzy hair, so when it's damp, I add mousse and then blow dry it, to get loose curls. if I don't take the time to blow dry, it turns out frizzy. if you want a tighter curl, then use gel, the result is that your hair will look a bit shorter. if you want straight hair for a change, use a ceramic straightener, my daughter uses this and her hair looks great, they cost about $35.however doing this too often dulls your hair,so you will need product to add shine and gloss back to your hair. you can spray it on after you have finished styling.if you have the money, buy product from the hair salon, if you're on a tight budget, then buy it at the drugstore.

the professional straighteners sold at a salon will be expensive, but you can by them elsewhere, too.

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

Hmmm well unlike some people i wish i had curly hair!!leave it long so you can leave it down or in a bun or in a ponytail!!

or my fav is in a side ponytail!oh and leave a few curls loose that way its creates a cool style like the ones you see a celeb wearin on the red carpet

and dont forget to try new styles!!thats how hairdressers become famous by trying new styles!

and watever you do dont go near them scissors you hear me?

Good Luck!

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

Long is best, tame the frizzy bits with straighteners

Natural curly hair and frizzy what do you think the best style is for it?

If you are African American or Hispanic read below. It might work for you.

What has worked best for me (I've been transitioning for the last 5 months) have been the roller sets. I've been using small perm rollers with a setting lotion (lottabody) and drying for about an hour.

After the hair is dry, I take out the rollers, add some olive oil sheen spray and break up the curls and style with my fingers. I wear a satin cap a night and I can usually wear the same do for over a week. Looks great too.

Hair Cut PLEASE REPLY?

Hi, um I'm getting my haircut on Monday and I just realised I'm not entirely sure of what haircut i want to get. I have dark brown, slightly curly hair and i like emo/scene hair styles and frindges. I have a kind o square like face and I'm trying to get something that would suit me that's quite nice too. Please reply, all answers appreciated!

Hair Cut PLEASE REPLY?

get yer hair straight so the emo bangs will look ok on you..otherwise.. dunno.. look it up on google

Hair Cut PLEASE REPLY?

With a square face, the first thing you're going to want to do is to smooth down your jawline. I would then suggest multiple layers and maybe even a little coloring to play it up nicely. If you're going for bangs, try to avoid blunt-cut bangs, because those will make your face look even more square. If you're getting it cut really short, then I would also suggest staying away from one length bobs, which are very unflattering to the jaw on square faces. If you want to look at some more examples, trying looking up Sandra Bullock on google images; she's the only celebrity I can think of who has a square face and slightly curly dark brown hair. Good luck!

Im planning on curling my hair!!!! ladies help ive never done it before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

**for this wake up @ 5:30... if ur gonna do touch ups nd fix it mor. wake up @ 5:00

*if ur curlin it wit a curlin iron, use hairspray too

-hairspray a section of hair that u want to curl

-comb through so the spray spreads evenly

-then start curlin it wit a curlin iron

-hairspray again while its curlin wit the iron nd use ur fingers or a napkin to spread it evenly...

-hold for 10-20 seconds...

-let go of the curlin iron nd hairspray again...

-do this all around

-to get more curls nd a bit loose..run fingers through ur hair

**this takes over night

*if u want somethin over night i sugest pin curls*u can do this on wet or dry hair

-if u want nice even curls, i shud tell u to hav ur hair a bit damp...

-if ur hair id jus dry, jus take an empty spray bottle nd fill wit water.

-spray ur hair till its a bit damp...

-section ur hair.

-start by the bac, take a section nd grab som "garnier fructis soft curl cream"...

-take a dime size nd rub wit ur hands together.

-work the cream to ur sectioned hair

-comb through

-take it nd wrap it around 1 or 2 of ur fingers

-wrap neatly close to ur scalp

-use bobby pins to pin them in place(so then wen ur done, it loks as if theres an invisible roller in ur hair)

-do this all around

-sleep on ur side or face...lol

-next mornin, release the pins nd u can run ur fingers through,

-or jus jump up and down to get it loosein up without damagin the curls much...

-hairspray lightly all around

-u can randomly jus curl peices of hair wit the curlin iron.

-ur hair shud last for 2 days!...lol...mine did...

Im planning on curling my hair!!!! ladies help ive never done it before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

its easy put curl scrunching gell all over ur hair let it dry then curl it with a 1 inch curling iron leaving 1 inch of the ends free use run ur fingers down ur hair 2 loosen the curls then spray it with hairspray from about 4 inches away. good luck!!

Im planning on curling my hair!!!! ladies help ive never done it before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Do not wash your hair for at least 24 hours before trying to curl it most curling irons work best this way. If you must wash it, use only a very small amount of shampoo, and do not condition your hair. Heat up your curling iron in an outlet for about 5 minutes or as long as necessary. Apply a styling cream made especially for curled hair styles such as Luster's S-Curl Comb Thru Texturizer Extra Strength or Matrix Curl.Life Contouring Cream and comb through with a wide-toothed comb. Determine the size you'd like the curls to be, and separate one lock of hair.Don't curl just anywhere. Start at the tip or you will get a kink in your hair. Spray the lock with an extra strength-hold hairspray such as TIGI Catwalk Work-It Hairspray or Frizz-Ease Shape and Shine Flexible Hold Hair Spray . Using a foam curler or hot roller, roll the lock of hair into the curler TIGHTLY from the bottom up. Fasten securely at the scalp, using bobby pins if necessary. Keep curler/rollers in hair for as long as necessary (until they cool, or the curl is holding).

Good products to help create/hold spiral curls?

I'm looking for products that you can find in the drugstore that you should put on before or after to help create and keep my hair curly after I create spiral curls. Anything from mousses, creams, etc to help make the curling process easier %26amp; to help me hold the style all day. Thanks!

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

My best friend and I made a bet on who most guys would rather date- I say it's her she says it's me. Brief descriptions:

Me: average looking I guess- blue eyes, straight light brown hair I dye blonde, average height, kinda athletic, average grades, I talk too much, I shop at Hollister mostly, I play a lot of sports and I don't really like reading, fun but slightly irresponsible hehehe

My friend: soooo pretty! dark brown eyes, long curly brown hair, shorter than average, reads %26amp; writes alot, she gets amazing grades, she's outgoing but she has a shy streak, vintage old-fashioned style but not frumpy, she's a really good listener and friend and sweet person, fun even though she has strong morals

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

I would need to meet you guys to decide who was more dateable.Everyone is diff. You guys are both equal for diff kinds of guys.

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

Thanks! How did ur bet turn out? Report It

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

Fun: You

Relationship: Her

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

Yea you set your friend up to be chosen by describing her as more attractive though you both sound like good catches.

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

we need pics.

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

Your friend is marriage material and you are dating material.

Your friend is more attractive.

Who's more dateable- me or my friend? We made a bet!?

its hard to say as people are attracted to different things, some guys might like a more mysterious girl like your friend but others may feel you are more approachable. i would say you then because most guys tend to go for someone more approachable.

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

I want to change my look and im bored of my long, difficult, OVER-THICK, dry hair which is layered. What haircut would you reccomend?

My hair too thick and this is a problem. It takes over 6 hours to dry naturally, and when i blow dry it it poofs up like hell :S Its drivign me nuts ! Its naturally wavy/curly, really dark brown/black, and pretty dry. Its really hard to manage.

I want a haircut where I can easily style it and manage it, and where I can do lots of funky hairstyles with it easily.

I was thinking a kind of shoulderlength bob where it goes shorter at the back; i think it'd suit me because i have a round face, but I'd have to blow dry %26amp; straighten it everyday. I want it shorter and I want it to be funky, PLEASE HELP !

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

I LOVE short hair, so I think the bob would be great. One thing I did just on a whim was go to a salon I found to be reputable (based on numerous recommendations), and spoke to a stylist. I told 'em to go to town! Do what you think would be best for my hair type and face shape! I loved what he did! (I have a different hair type, so it's a moot point here)

Anyhow, good luck!

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

yes, i recommend a short bob (just where the back hair long starts, maybe longer) and then keep the front a little longer. would look really cute.

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

hey. i had longer hair and it is pretty thick and curly. i just recently got it cut and it is too my shoulders with a little layer I LOVE IT. but the thing is is i have to straighten it most of the time but today i wore it curly and i love it.

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

I also have very thick hair and a lot of it, so when I see "volumizing" products and laugh out loud. When will they ever invent de-volumizing products? I have found through 40+ years of trial and error, to keep the hair in layers, it's the only way to control the poof factor. Depending on the length, my is just below my shoulders, I can pull it back, put it up or wear it natural with just a good dab of gel, but no blow drying. Oncits layered, your hair will be much quicker to use a flattening iron when you would like it straight. A quick tip also, when you want to wear it straight, wash it the night before and sleep on it. The texture is much better to start with for that style. Having a layered cut really does give you options without spending hours working on it. I also have my hair thinned at every hair cut, about every 5-6 weeks. I've tried almost every hair cut known. This is the most flattering one and the most versatile.

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

A Buzz Cut would solve all your hair problems and look stunning!

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

i do too so i just av it layered and feathered in at front

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

I have thick hair too, and short hair did not fit me! since there was not enough weight in my hair to weigh it down, it got all poofy and i looked like a triangle!

i think u should just cut it so it's not layered anymore, and either get a perm or a hair straightener. really, once you get it cut, you'll wish u didn't.

best of luck!

I have ULTRA thick long curly hair.. What haircut do you reccomend?

it is better to have different styles of cut according to ur face so u will look fabulous u can have multi-layer or some cute styles of hair cuts some ideas of hair cuts r available in the below mentioned website. ok find it there..i think..it may be useful to u.....

I have extremely thick, brown, curly hair..their not ringlets like big curls I need a new style...HE

how should i wear my hair thats easy?

thanks!!

I have extremely thick, brown, curly hair..their not ringlets like big curls I need a new style...HELP!!?

I have the exact kind of hair extremely thick curly brown hair, and I wish I had ringlets. what I like is putting hair mousse, leave it down, with a headband. you can put your hair in a ponytail at different heights (low, high in the center) its better to do it with your hair wet. I know it takes almost hours to straighten so that's a once in awhile option. Putting half your hair up and half down works too.

I have extremely thick, brown, curly hair..their not ringlets like big curls I need a new style...HELP!!?

Some days, you should leave your hair down and in its natural state. Some days, if you can, straighten. Put it up in a ponytail. Pull it back into two pigtails, straightened or curly. Pull the top half of your hair into a ponytail and then straighten the bottom so only what's in the ponytail is curly. Pull some hair back with a cute clip. Use a headband.

I have extremely thick, brown, curly hair..their not ringlets like big curls I need a new style...HELP!!?

Hi fellow thick, brown curly haired girl-

Have you had your hair cut in long layers and thinned out? Having the bulky parts thinned a big give your hair movement and the layers will give more of a style.

I agree with the previous poster too - some days up, some down...etc..

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

Ok let's see, I have this really thick really poofy, totally frizzy curly long hair and i don't know what to do with it. I'm a teenager and i really want a nice down-do but it always poofs and i don't know what to do. My mom has been cutting my hair all my life and i mean like just triming the ends but i really have no style to it. Do you guys have any suggestions on how i should get it cut? Oh and another thing i was thinking about getting side swept bangs like everyone has but i don't think they'll look god on me because i would have all my curly hair and then sraight pieces for bangs. What do you think? thanks for all your help!-Haley

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

ok. i have the same hair as you, its thick curly and hard to style. Do not get bangs! every time i got those when i was younger, they would just bounce right up into curls! i wish i could get bangs too. don't get layers either cause otherwise it just makes your hair look poofier. Its a sad thing having curly hair because you can't really do anything. The thing that i do to my hair that everyone loves is right after my shower i part my hair into pigtails and then instead of leaving them just in pigtails, i put them into messy buns. like take another pony tail and just put it around big clumps of hair. it doesn't look frizzy and its raelly cute! i also do half pony tails where i put the top half of my hair into a binder, pig tail braids, doing two parts and then braiding each side. if you use Herbal Essences "None of your frizzness" shampoo and conditioner, it really helps! it smells really good, and it really tames my hair alot!

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

pull it back in a ponytail

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

use tresme . and get the expensive hair products like herbal . bed head. got 2 be. and wet ur hair brush it get some gel scrunch it and put hair spray in it . = ] thats what i do with my hair and its lovely, lol.

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

bedhead or aussie products could tone down the frizz. Pantene isn't too bad either. they have totally revolutionized their line and the conditioner is FABULOUS!

I'm down for the sideswept bangs. The curly hair could set if off, but I suggest if you do keep the curly hair, it should be short and the bangs should be long. Otherwise, you will look like a wet poodle who needs a trim.

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

I have the same hair type and i have been straightening my hair every week and it looks great! Just get a really nice straigtener and then have your mom get you side bangs....the side bangs will look a lot cuter if you just starighten your hair...=]

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

straighten it

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

My sister has really thick quite curly hair too and what she does before she goes to bed is...

Split her hair into bunches, and then split those again so she has 4 bits of hair. Then she twists each section and ties her hair into pigtails, with 3 hairties- 1 at the top, 1 in the middle and 1 at the bottom. This means that all her hair is twisted into pigtails, and stays that way overnight. In the morning when she takes out her hair its flat on top (because its been pulled straightish by the hair tie) and then in kind of ringlets at the bottom. It looks really nice and works because she has long hair. She also has a side fringe. This is a picture of her!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g57/ri...

Good luck!

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

Straighten it!!!

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

Shave it all off, go bald, start over.

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

you could staighten your hair or put some gel or mouse to make it curl with less frizz

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

a friend of mine has this exact problem..... she uses redkens product for taming curly hair...and she invested in a Chi straightener...that thing will straighten any kind of hair....then you can get those bangs and your hair will look awesome!

good luck!

What Should I do with my poofy thick curly hair?

Get some leave in conditioner and also a de frizzing product like TIGI or Bed head to use before you go to bed. Don't be afraid to have your hair cut into layers or to go for a shorter cut. Curly hair can be tamed into awesome ringlets with the right product and hair cut. If you save up you could also go to the salon for a straightening. It's like the opposite of a perm and lasts until your hair grows out.

Can you help me with my curly hair?

I have naturally curly/wavy hair similar to this picture of Taylor Swift's hair.

http://modelvolume.files.wordpress.com/2...

I'm having a hard time styling it. It's always very poofy and huge and I'm not sure what to do to make it not look like a fro! I'm looking for pretty and defined curls. I'd appreciate any help I can get! Thanks!

Can you help me with my curly hair?

hair spray with extreme hold

Can you help me with my curly hair?

i have curly hair to i use suave sleek cream and sprunch spray by aussie

= D

goodluck

Can you help me with my curly hair?

use gel to make it less "poofy" and maybe get a side fringe but straighten it that would look nice or just completly straighten it.

Can you help me with my curly hair?

Get some Garnier Frizz Gel, to start off. Silk some of that in before you blow dry your hair after showering. It should dcrease some of the frizz. You can straighten it after that, and then get a big curling iron and spiral curl it. It will take alot of time, just beacuse of trying to decrease the frizz. :)

Good Luck.

Can you help me with my curly hair?

First of all, Taylor Swift's hair is anything but natural.

Anywho, I have frizzy, poofy curly hair too. Here are some prouducts I use:

Shampoo/conditioner:John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Around

Then I put in some product. A little bit of Aveda Flax Seed Aloe and then some Aveda Be Curly.

How to make medium, curly hair more edgy?

i have shoulder length hair and it is prettty curly and a little frizzy. i don't want to get it cut but how can i style it so it looks less shirly temple and more edgy?

How to make medium, curly hair more edgy?

get yourself some finishing creme. you can also use some wax on it (hair of course) and make it look really " piece" drag some strands towards your face, or put it in a clip, and work with the strands that are left out and make them wild. make sure you use hairspray so it holds throughout the day.

How to make medium, curly hair more edgy?

get layers and side bangs

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

I've noticed in my school all the girls straighten the crap outa their hair and when I ask if their hair is naturally like that they say no i have wavy/curly hair and it's disgusting. I have to admit I like when my hair is pin straight too but sooo many people think It looks better curly. So does it mean straight hair is more attractive and girls feel the pressure to straighten it or is it just the style?

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

I have no clue, i have the same with a friend i would love to have her hair when she puts the product in when curly its soo hard to get that look really and they hate that they have it naturallly. Odd.

They probably just dont like their curly hair and probably like the looks of strait hair and like the looks on them of strait hair.

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

Same reason that girls with straight hair hate it and spend time on curlers and curling irons and perms.

Because the grass is always greener on the other side.....

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

When I curl my hair to get it in my fave wavy style, the girls at school are like YUK..I can't understand it cuz the guys seem to like it curly, at least the ones I know. ^^ Everybody has a straightener these days. I'm the only one who doesn't. Honestly I think a straightener is bad for your hair...when I used to blowdry mine it actually started changing color!!

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

I think generally people want what they don't have. I have stick straight hair and I would KILL to have waves or curls but my friend who has SUPER curly hair spends almost an hour everyday straightening her hair...

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

prolly because people will think that its not natrual and that they dont brush their hair!

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

well its kind of annoying when you wake up in the morning and your hair is like a lion's mane. unlike people with naturally straight hair who wake up and its perfect, people with curly hair have hair thats spastic and has a mind of its own. however despite this set back i like having curly hair because u can do so much more with it, like straighten it, while people with straight hair have a hard time achieving a naturally curly look.

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

maybe there sick of the curls/waves in their hair so they straighten it. i have straight hair and i always love to curl it

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

It's just the style now. It'll be something different soon. I prefer wavy too!

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

i feel the same way but sometimes i wear my hair curly and straight when u straightin ur hair everyday it can make ur hair un healthy and it can burn it so ur hair will be dry...but i think its just the style....i bet u look pretty both ways!

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

It's funny- people with straight hair wish for wavy hair while people with wavy/curly hair long for straight hair!

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

It's not that we 'hate' it, it's just high maintenance. Believe me, when I was back in middle/high school... I DESPISED my hair. Now that I'm 27 (a grown adult), you learn to appreciate your natural given beauty. Yes it can be a pain in the rear most days, but you just have to know how to 'control' it. Once you do, you learn to love your hair. Hope that helps?

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

I wish my hair was naturally wavy/curly. I have bone straight hair and want curly. For some reason we all want the kind of hair we don't have.

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

Its just the way the female mind thinks... We have straight hair and we want it wavy,. we have wavy hair and we want it straight... just face it... us women will never be completly satisfied with ourselves :P

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

i have the curliest hair on earth! lol mine is frizzy and it is very curly.i dont like it because it is always a pain to comb it and you cant do many hairstyles either. even if you straighten my hair after 2 hours it will be back to its curly state again.thereare permanent straightening too. i think all the girls just think with straight hair it looks better so they beg there parents and get it straightened

Why do so many of us girls hate having naturally wavy/curly hair?

Insecurity.

When we're in our teenage years, we're constantly scrutinizing ourselves. We think we're too tall or too short or too fat or too skinny or too quiet or too loud or too curly or too straight.

Girls are looking for their identity and part of that search is to change the outside appearance. If you knew how many hair transformations I've been through, you'd laugh your *** off. I've permed, chemically straightened, dyed until my hair was irreversibly friend, and I've always wanted long hair but I end up cutting it off before it gets there.

It's just insecurity.

What are good ways to keep hair straight, with naturally curly hair?

Ok, so I'm a guy and my hair is naturally reallyyyy curly, and I use a straightner, but it usually ends up curling slightly. I use styling putty and hairspray once in a while, which kind of helps, but the next morning; it's shower and then straighten my hair for 30mins or so. Any easy ways to keep it under control?

Thank you for your time

What are good ways to keep hair straight, with naturally curly hair?

Its obviously hard to control curly hair when its short...

I have naturally curly hair (long) and i blow dry it and then straighten it everrrryy day! (waste of time really)

I have spoken to the hairdresser and they say you can actually have your hair permanently straightened. (opposite process to a perm)

You should go in and ask your local hairdresser and see if they can do this for gents hair.

What are good ways to keep hair straight, with naturally curly hair?

Get it chemically straightened--which is HORRIBLE for your hair. Or, you can get straightening lotion, Got2B works really good, and use that every time before you straightene it.

What are good ways to keep hair straight, with naturally curly hair?

hey if you want permanent straight hair then get your hair permanently straighten!! but love yourself for who you are maybe curly works for you!:]

What are good ways to keep hair straight, with naturally curly hair?

Buy a hair perm/curling kit. Go through all the steps for perm but leave the curlers out (brush your hair straight instead). This will make your hair straight and soft.

I'm frustrated and I need some help......?

My sister-in-law and I have tried so many times to fix her daughter's(my niece) hair and its so unmangeable. She has thick, curly, frizzy hair and I need some tips on how to style it or cut it.

I'm frustrated and I need some help......?

Get a good leave-in conditioner. After she washes it tackle that hair right away! Put the leave-in cream in (a lot), pull it up into pig tails or a pony tail and braid it. Or swirl it around your fingers into ringlets with a brush. Let it air dry. The less you fuss with it the more tame it will be. Don't cut it and don't straighten it-curls are pretty! The weight will add to the manageability. Work with it, not against it. My 9 yr old is half white with black, filipino, and spanish--she has waist lenght, thick, black, curly, wild hair. But we put the right hair creams in it and she ends up getting compliments everywhere we go.

I'm frustrated and I need some help......?

let it grow out of straiten it

I'm frustrated and I need some help......?

Take her to a professional hair stylist, and see what they can do.

I'm frustrated and I need some help......?

The best way i believe is to rebond her hair.

- thick hair : before rebond they will trim it to be thinner %26amp;

when ur hair is straight, it wont look so thick.

- curly %26amp; frizzy hair: after rebonding, say "good-bye" to them.

* my gf personal experience, hope it helps =D

(Pic inside!) What haircut should I get?!?

What haircut do you think would flatter my face? (ex: bangs, layers, etc.)

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p207/...

My hair is naturally straight and dark brown. I don't want to color it! And I don't want any curly/wavy styles cuz I don't have time in the morning.

Also...pics of the haircut would be sooo helpful! =D

(Pic inside!) What haircut should I get?!?

I think both layers and side swept bangs would compliment your face. I think that regular bangs would make you look too childish, but with the structure and shape of your face, you should get bangs.

http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/0/U/I/nico...

This cute with side swept bangs:

Lightly curl all of your hair and then take the center section (( not the bangs, if you even have bangs)) and pin it up like a mini ponytail then tease the hair ontop of your head in the center section (( that you just pinned up ))

really cute right now. and i wouldn't suggest black highlights, golden colors are so pretty and fresh, don't rewen them with black!!!! Why not strawberry blonde streaks, that would break up your color and be really fresh and cute!

Any cool hairstyles?

Low-lights u mean. Your hair sounds really nice, just get her to put some funky corn rows in. I think that looks great on curly hair. She could plat u some colour in too!

Should I get side bangs I have curly hair?

I have curly/ wavy hair naturally but i like it straight and i want side bangs but not to to short so when i straighten it i have a style should i get side bangs and will it look wierd and does any body have curly hair naturally and got side bangs give me advice ( my hair is long )

Should I get side bangs I have curly hair?

I have very curly hair, but I still manage side bangs. Just realize that you will probably have to invest in a hair straightener (if you don't have one already) to straighten them every morning (otherwise they will spaz out on you). I say go for it! Curly hair looks fine with straight side bangs (be sure your hairdresser knows to make them thick though [bring pictures] otherwise they will look odd) and it looks great with all straight hair (when you do, or if, you straighten it). Good luck! :]

Should I get side bangs I have curly hair?

i have curly/wavy hair w/ side bangs and i straighten my hair everyday.... basically just keep it straightened....:)

Should I get side bangs I have curly hair?

Do you think I could achieve this style with a perm, or only with rollers?

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...

I know this is a wig, but I would like to know, I am having a hard time finding pictures of a style similar to what I like and this is the closest one. I have thin straight hair, I already permed it in october, but it did not turn out the way I wanted it too. do you think this is even a possibility, (I do not mind perming again, if it will help, I still have soem spirally curl left, hair is longer)

Do you think I could achieve this style with a perm, or only with rollers?

A perm is a great way to achieve that style if your hair is thin and straight. If you get another perm, just make sure everyday you apply mousse (for curly hair) to your hair when it is wet and then scrunch it with your hands. It should come out looking exactly like that. If you don't want to get another perm, a roller set might achieve that effect too, but I can't be positive. If you want to give the rollers a shot, ask for them to use perm rods and do a spiral in your hair, but without the chemical. Good luck!

Thick, dry, slightly curly hair... what shoul i do with em?

I'm 25; dark male with thick, black, dry %26amp; slightly curly hair.. the unmanageable type. I don閳ユ獩 know what to do with my hair so i keep them short. but it doesn閳ユ獩 look good. what should i do??

by the way i have a hybrid life style, during day time I閳ユ獡 in my suits %26amp; ties and in the evening I閳ユ獡 in trendy party wear.

Why iz it....?

that we (African Americans) have a different texture than most ethinc groups.

P.S.: it really insults me using the term "black people hair." I learned that there is no such thing as black people hair. If you start from birth and do nothing to it( no relaxer or perm), it comes out curly. if you leave it unrelaxed until you get older, it will be longer and smoother when you get older. However, since i live in the south (Georgia) and it is usually hotter than a ********** down here, most AA's don't know how do their hair, so it turns out badly and that's what gives people the perception that black people have bad hair.

Personally, my hair is normal. When i wash it and immediatly blow dry it, it turns out curly and i wear it like that. But if it relax it, wrap it, and style, it turns out nice and smooth. I just had to get that off my chest, because that one day i wore my hair curly and my friend said i had that "nappy black folks hair " i was insulted. But i did my hair later, and...

Why iz it....?

It's just b/c our hair is a littIe more different to manage without the relaxer but join our hair blogs%26amp; forum %26amp; see some of the pics we've posted of going natural "Our Hair Journey" after some of the members and found out what chemicals have %26amp; are doing to our hair. You wouldn't believe statistcs show some even african hair products are CANCEROUS that's what really woke me up knowing some of the stuff we put on our hair is being tested on poor little animals. And I do understand your feelings for your friend but please don't take this in a harmful way I'm saying this b/c I get that same saying to me about what am I going to do to my hair before any special events. As a joke back to her just say with a smile you are happy %26amp; nappy because I say that to my husband, my aunt %26amp; my cousins when they tell me "you're not going any where with me until you do something to your head", I just laugh.I have now went from relaxed hair back to my Nappy Nappturality Hair and actually my hair has grew healthier and all the damaged chemical process is gone, the shedding and my scalp feels a whole lot better.I'm a stylist of 20+ yrs but 15 years legally and 1 yrs of natural.I'm pride of my God given hair ! I love Hair %26amp; people Hair stories

Why iz it....?

idk im 1/2 blk and 1/2 white so my hair has loose frizzy thick straw-like curls. i wear mine curly and it looks fine but african american hair is like that because of the climate in africa and thats how it turned out somehow. idk google it.

Why iz it....?

If you don't use shampoo %26amp; conditioner i would recomend it. also blowdryers are damaging your hair.

Why iz it....?

I am a hair stylist. It is because people are ignorant. I used to go through that all the time. My hair used to be extremely kinky and then my mom relaxed it because she thought she knew what she was doing, but she didn't. I had to go to 3 stylists before one knew how to handle it. Blow-dryers do not ruin your hair. Hair get damaged because people think they know what they are dong and don't. I try to educate people everyday.

How do i get my hair to be like this......?

http://www.imagecows.com/uploads/8ff7-Le...

I want a new hair style.. so... like. How can i get my hair to be like this? My hair is natually STRAIGHT and i want wavy/curly hair. If you suggest any other hair styles it'd be helpful too ^.^

How do i get my hair to be like this......?

Use hot rollers with hairspray. Let them heat up for 10 to 20 minutes and then put them in your hair w/ hairspray and leave them in for up to 30.

How do i get my hair to be like this......?

when you blow dry your hair, use a round bristle brush and rotate the brush outwards when you get to the ends. if your want wavy or curly hair, braid your wet hair and sleep in them. braid tightly for curls, or loosely for waves. go to http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/hairsty... for hints and tips!

Help with a messy scrunch style?

There's this crunchy curly messy style that I love but can't pull off. How do I do it? (my hair is just past the shoulder, thin, fine hair)

http://www.withfriendship.com/user/image...

or even a messy bun for medium hair

http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/6358...

and also how should I do my hair I'm handing out programs for a wedding soon.

Help with a messy scrunch style?

i have super thin hair and i do mine like that all the time. when i get out of the shower i put in got2b curled spray through my har and let it air dry. then i use a big barrelled and a small barreled curling iron to make ringlets in my hair then i turn my head upside down and finger separate them and then use a low blowdryer to create the beachy look.

Help with a messy scrunch style?

when ur hair is wet take allot of moose and scrunch ur hair then put some hard curling gel then scruch it into a bun and hairtie it then if u want u can blow dry it but just keep puttin moose in and gell then when u think its ready take it down and it should be good

Help with a messy scrunch style?

I would think curl it and after you curl don't comb if so very little and use a bunch of sticky stuff that holds styles.

For the wedding I would wear it down straight or body curl or up in a scrunch style, if you want to look more dressy or formal

Help with a messy scrunch style?

Mary Kate and Ashley's hair in the first picture is curled- not scrunched, probably with a 1" or 1-1/4" barrel.

Check out www.pursebuzz.com for some great make-up and hair tutorials. They show you how to do your hair exactly like Mary-Kate and Ashley's!

Help with a messy scrunch style?

Okay. What I do to make my hair look scrunchy...after you take a shower, put gel in when its wet and scrunch it up starting from the bottom and working your way up. Then you just wait and let it dry. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell ya!!

Ok can someone please help me!!! It's very important!!!!?

low pigtails are always cute and for a zing loosely braid them...

Ok can someone please help me!!! It's very important!!!!?

Wash your hair and then twist it in 1 inch sections to the back. Let it dryer, either under a dryer or naturally. When it is finished you will have soft waves.

Or you can blow dry it and then do an up do. I don't know what type of clothing you are going to wear, so I can't say for sure what you should do.

Can anyone help me learn how to straighten my thick thick thick hair?

ok im black and i had naturally curly hairand i got a perm when i was 9 it broke off and really got damaged ...now im almost 15 and i just got it cut n i washed it and now its really really thick kind of lik a afro i dont kno what to do do ne1 hav a style and tips on how to s8n it ????

Can anyone help me learn how to straighten my thick thick thick hair?

Well has your perm grown out? If so, I can tell you what I do to my hair. I am black and don't have one. After I wash it, I blow dry it straight and then I take a flat iron, rub some grease thru it (Mizani pressing wax works best for me) and then I use a very hot flat iron. I usually go get it done though. That would be the best thing for you so that you don't burn your own hair out.

Can anyone help me learn how to straighten my thick thick thick hair?

First section off your hair. Start at the back closes to the neck. Place your straightening comb on the stove. Let it get hot, but not red hot. Get a piece of cloth and wipe the comb, if the cloth turns brown the comb is too hot. Let it coll just a little bit. Now part a small section of hair, then run the comb through slowly, also use the smooth side of the comb as you go down your hair. Work you way up. Then do the hair line last. Take your time .

Do you girls like lads with curly hair?

My hair isnt extremley curly but when you gel it i wont spike and just looks like uve wacked gel in and not styled it..

Do you girls like lads with curly hair?

****yeah!! I love curly hair. It kind of gives your face a little something extra if you have curly hair kind of hovering around your frame. And plus i like to run my fingers through guys hair and what better style of hair to do it with.

Do you girls like lads with curly hair?

To me yes, but not all girls are like me.

Do you girls like lads with curly hair?

I love curly hair, it's so cute! It looks really nice to me. I'm so sick of seeing the buzz cut or spikes. Having naturally curly hair is adorable, so you should rock it that way!!

Do you girls like lads with curly hair?

curly hair is nice as long as its not oily or gelled up.

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

My very naturally curly, shoulder-length hair always looks really fabulous until I sleep on it. Then it stays kind of curly but a few strands get seriously messed up and it becomes all around frizzed out a little. Just messing up the style, I guess. Does anyone have a good method for keeping the curls/style intact overnight? Thanks.

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

By wrapping up your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf and also using hair rollers. You can either just roll up your ends since you said that they seemed to be frizzy in the morning also add some type of hair oil on the ends to tame the frizz.

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

use the curlers and then put on ur plastic head cap...

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

I would suggest twisting sections of your hair and pinning them up.You can just wake up, run some anti-frizz serum through it, and voila! Great hair!

Hope I helped!

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

Put a little conditioner in it before you go to bed and wear a cap... it'll look good in the morn.

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

pin the curls up or put them in rollers and put a silk or satin scarf on your head

How do I keep my curly hair nice when I sleep on it?

Shower cap?

Can you get this as a perm?

I want a perm, but I don't want to look like a poodle.

My hair is currently in a textured bob style about down to just above my shoulders. It is pin straight, and I am sick of it being straight. I can't do anything with it, it is just boring. I want curly, bouncy hair.

Can you get perms with results like this, and if so, what are they called? So I know what to tell the stylist.

http://gimps.de/wettbewerb/albums/userpi...

..................

Or will I end up with something like this? If so, please let me know....This is what I don't want....

http://www.fashion-era.com/images/ALLSMA...

Can you get this as a perm?

A body perm or a loose spiral will give you a look similar to the curls you want. It won't look exactly like the picture because her hair is curled with a curling iron. I would show whoever you go to for your perm those pictures so she knows what you don't want. That second picture is bad, I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

Can you get this as a perm?

why don't you curl it with a curling iron

Can you get this as a perm?

Perm = curly hair

Relaxer = straight hair

And there's only one kind of perm... curly... a RELAXER is the curly kind.

And if your salonists do it correctly, you won't look like a poodle.

You'll end up like the first one.

If they mess it up just tell them... they could probably take it out... if not it will come out naturally in 2 months or less.

Can you get this as a perm?

I believe the first one is called a candlestick perm. To keep it from looking like the second one just don't brush it when it's dry unless you do each curl individually. Just finger curl it when wet and let it air dry. Then spray it if you want.

Can you get this as a perm?

well if you have pretty short hair theres a good chance it will turn out pretty poofy......you might just want to use a curling iron for a while....you don't want your hair ruined for 6 months..good luck : )

I have curly hair and do not know what to do with it, what would you recommend>?

my hair is long and curly and I usually put it into a bun and dont fix it. What would be a good style that is easy and does not require alot of time and money spent on pruducts that dont work for me?

if you like your curls then use a good curling shampoo and cond especially for curls. I have naturally curly hair and using these kinds of shampoos help. Being a stylist of 13 years I have dealt with a lot of different types of hair. Always use a wide tooth comb when its wet thats with any hair, especially curly because using a brush just makes it frizzy. use good styling products curling ones and which ever way your curls go let them. I will occasionally have to use an iron to put the curl where I want it especially on my bang part. Hope this helps.

Keep it short, that way, its not hard to clean or fuss with in the mornings.

Personally I love a woman with long hair, curly or straight...(yea, I drooled over Crystal Gayle!) :)

But, as a working woman with kids and all that, I can see why you would want short hair with less fuss and no hassles in the mornings...

I wish you well..

When I had long, curly hair (it's shaved off now) I used to use a "curling mousse" and scrunch it while I'm blowdrying it with a diffuser upside-down. Took about 15 minutes. hth

brush it when it's wet then put up only part of it (the top part)

Pony tail

pig tails

braids

anything anyone else can do

BUT brush your hair once you put it up

(ex. when its in a ponytail brush the "tail" then twirl it around your fingure to make it into a larger curl)

And

NEVE BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN IT"S WET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that makes it frizzy

What you need to do is get it cut to a medium length cause if it curly the shorter you go the frizzier it will get. So, med. length would be fine. And as for styling it, buy John Frieda products, cheap and they work great. Put it in your hair, let your hair air-dry and you're on your way. Or if it is winter time use a defuser on the end of your hair-dryer. Hope this helped.

I have the same problem. I have curly hair that's halfway down my back. I don't want to cut it but it can just be such a pain. I have spent years looking for something easy, and have found it. Every morning I shower and wash my hair, and I've found that the shampoo/conditioner doesn't matter. I use the cheap stuff usually Suave since it doesn't weigh my hair down. When you get out of the shower, pick out your hair or comb it, you can also do this in the shower too if you have tangle problems. Then flip your hair a few times to get some of the moisture out and separate the strands, and end with your head down. Then I use Loreal Melting Gel and put about a 50cent piece size in. Then I scrunch my hair with a towel to encourage the curl and get the moisture out. Then just 5-10 minutes with the diffuser to get most of the water out. Finish with a flexable hairspray(I prefer aerosol), and you're good to go! Hope this helps!

Have it layered and thinned or cut. Curly hair looks better short than long. I've had natural curly hair all of my life. After having long and short hair - I discovered that curyl hair does much better when it is short. Use a good shampoo and then a moisturizer.

I have long curly hair too, i normally straighten it with a CHI (easier to manage) or i use "Curl Rock" by "TIGI" you just put it in your hair when it is wet and it works awesome it tames the frizz but doesnt make your hair hard like alot of gels do. Also, I often put my hair back in a banana clip, to leave it down but get it out of my face! Click the link below to see a pic of it!

There is a new product in the hair care market called "Round Trip". It is part of the "Paul Mitchell" express style range. It is a curl definer that doesn't leave your hair looking or feeling crunchy. It reduces ur drying time and has a light hold. I would buy it and try it with various styles.

Get some mousse (I use Curl Reviver Mousse by Frizz Eaze) put it in your hair, and dry it with a diffuser for 3-5 mins...and thats it. simple. and it probably will look much better than the bun. I used to do the same thing, but decided curly looks better than a bun... I have bangs, so I will usually clip my bangs back on top of my head in the little "poof" thing...

Hi, I have really long straight hair and i want to have a rock chick, messy curly hair look.?

I was told that if i plait my hair it would look good but im having problems plaiting it at the top to when its done the top is straight and the rest curly. i dont want tight curls just nice loose shabby chic style.

Hi, I have really long straight hair and i want to have a rock chick, messy curly hair look.?

Try french-braiding the top. You could also put curlers in and then brush them a lot right afterwards. Or, as a third alternative, you could "scrunch" your hair with your fingers as it's drying.

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

how can i make my hair style more fabulous? my hair is like curly hair....but my classmates doesn't like the hairstyle..my hairstyle is like .........i braid it all over....i don't know what tto do with my hair.....do i have to go to salon just to have hair straightening? or what?

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

U can do lot with ur curly hair apart from straightening them.

simply open them or use pins, pony tails look really nice or go for a haircut--make them short or layers will look good.

Pony tails?

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

Oohhhh I would love to have curly hair!! (I have super straight hair) U can try pinning a few strands back, kind of like a ''half-moon'' style. Or u can wear a nice colourful cloth headband. Im sure that'd look nice! :)

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

Don't be ashamed that you have curly hair! And definitely don't go to that last resort of straightening your hair and losing those curls!

Curls are amazing! Use mousse or a gel that will define your curls a lot more. I go from curly to straight all the time, I have crazy layers and they look really cool when my hair is curly!

You should also try sticking in some accessories! Headbands are great and so are cute shiny/jewely pins!

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

Big colourful headbands are very fashionable, and they look great with curly hair!

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

No Offence, but forget your classmates. Would you feel better about your hair if they said they loved it? I think maybe so.

I have wavy/curly hair and i love it. I smile when i see the girls with straight hair, trying to curl it with a curling iron or rollers. We have the advanage here :)

I also love braids and plaits because they look fresh and keep your hair off your face and out of your eyes.

However, if you are sincere about trying something new, start small. One way is to add subtle highlights. A hairdresser can help you with the best colour/s for your natural hair colour, and one that suit your complexion and even eyecolour.

Apart from that, you could always cut a few inches off. OMG i might hear you say lol. A little bit off the ends can instantly make your hair look cleaner and healthier. A new cut also makes you feel fantastic and revitalised.

HINT: Try to pin your hair under itself to see what you might look like with shorter hair and what length you might be happy with. A hairdresser can also help with length and cut. You mihgt like to try a fringe, if you don't have one? If you're not sure, go for a longer fringe that can be pinned back or added to your braid.

Remember, it is YOUR hair! Only do what you want and not what other's tell you to do. You will have to live with whatever you decide to do, so think carefully.

Try to have fun with it also. Changing your hairstyle is a quick and easy way to give yourself a lift and new confidence.

I found some great sites for curly hair of all lengths, cuts and colours. (Although some links might look similar, they are from different pages). Do a bit of research to see what you REALLY want to do. This way there won't be any regrets.

Have fun :)

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

well you shouldnt worry about what other think

but if you want good results for straight hair

buy a GOOD hair straignter like a paul brown, GHD, expenisve but they work and keep curly hair straight, without making it look half done. use heat protective lotions on your hair before so your hair doesnt dry out/ burn. long hair looks great straighten( but so does long curly hair) it works better if your hair is styled to suit your face shape, blowdry your hair first then straighten it in small sections. use a treament on your hair once in a while so your hair doesnt look un healhty etc.

my hair is naturally curly too, i hate it but i think everyone hates hair they dont have, but my hair always looks good when straightens and shaped around my face, although my hairs blonde so i use more treatments because blonde hair if left untreated breaks and looks dead more easily then brunettes

:) hoped that helped

I would love bright colours, funky cut, any style tips?? please!!!

Depends on the length... you could try going shorter if you have longer hair, or vice versa. Don't be afraid to ask your stylist for suggestions. She sees lots of different hair types and face shapes, and knows what will or won't look good on you. Best of luck!

Straighten it. Or dye it the opposite color of what it is now

example-brown-blond

Red-auburn

and so on

Also, you could try a single purple/blue/red/green highlight if you have blond hair. I did mine in purple last year and got ALOT of compliments

if you have longer hair get it cut kinda short in the back and angled down at the front and die the end of the front like the tips of it a different color and this may sound weird but straighten it! hope it goes well!!

The dress is long so they aren't really going to notice your heels. I'd find the most comfortable silver shoes I could find. DSW or SAS have great selections especially around New Years Eve if you have enough time. After all you are going to be wearing these shoes for HOURS. Pictures beforehand, the wedding, reception and usually the afterparty. Above all they need to be comfortable!

I have always been the most pleased when I went to a salon and asked the stylist what to do. After all she has experience. Anytime I pick a celebrity I'm unhappy b/c my hair isn't like the celebs. My hair is too thick or too fine to do that. Just tell her you want something half up and half down, with curls and let her do her thing. Thats how I've gotten gorgeous hair.

Blowdrying curly hair?

My hair is naturally curly, and when it dries it gets a little poofy and frizzy...i dont like to straighten it, but how could i style it quick with a blow dryer? =D thanks alot, and anyother suggestions are appreciated too =) have a fantastic rest of the day!!!

Blowdrying curly hair?

Always use the defuser and some anti frizz stuff like Bio silk.

Blowdrying curly hair?

i have poofy hair, but i use Aussie mousse/leave-in conditioner on wet hair, and it reduces the poof. don't ever blow dry your hair without something like a protectant, or a diffuser.

Blowdrying curly hair?

don't blow dry curly hair if you don't have a diffuser. What you can do is let it air dry and scrunch your hair. What you do is

Wrap your hair in a small towel. Don't rub your hair at all with the towel. Comb your fingers or a wide-tooth comb through your hair and make a part as best as you can.Spray hairspray in your hair. Put it near the middle and bottom of your hair. Put gel in your hands and rub them together to spread the gel. Grab a small handful of hair by the ends and push it up toward the head. Hold it in place for a few moments while aiming the hair dryer at it to 'set' the gel/mousse/hair spray. Repeat this all over your head, reapplying the gel every time. Keep in mind that small handfuls yield tighter waves and large handfuls create full, loose waves.

Also leave in conditioner will often tame frizz as well as john frieda's frizz ease products.

If you want it straight you could use a blow dryer use a heat protectant!! Pin up the top section of your hair and use the round brush to blowdry your hair. Hold the hair sections out taut and point the hairdryer down to dry it. Do this section by section, so that your hair is completely dry. You may want to then dry up the hair, from the neck to the end of the strands. This makes it easier to get the hair on the back of the head.

If you have decided to use a hair straightener, put your hair into sections again, and run over your hair with the straightener. You can use a shine spray in the end.

Blowdrying curly hair?

Dear Whoever Wrote This,

I am sorry, but I have, like, short term memory loss and I forget your name and I am too lazy to go check. I have super curly hair as well and so does my friend. I hate it soooooo much when my hair is poofy, but its life. (have you tried FrizzEase???)

What I do is comb my hair while I am blow drying and comb it in to the style I like. Or... some advice... braid your hair at night and it is soooooo much easier to manage in the morning. So... Good Luck Fellow Curly Head!!

Toodles,

Serena

Blowdrying curly hair?

OOH! I love your question! I have curly hair too. I agree that it gets VERY poofy.=D But I use a special shampoo by Herbal Essences called "none of your frizziness" I don't really notice a change, but I use it anyway.

I do blow dry my hair, and I flat Iron my bangs, (If you don't have bangs, just flat iron the front part of your hair.) I put the rest behind my ears, or if it doesn't fit, i put it behind a headband.

Then I use a leave in conditioner, or a shine serum (don't use too much, it will make your hair greasy) I recommend the shine serum and leave-in conditioner from Garnier Fructis. It eliminates poof and frizz. I also use hairspray, and I brush it through to make it smooth (It helps with the frizz, but you don't have to use it.)

I hope my advice helps! =D

Blowdrying curly hair?

If you don't have a diffuser, then invest in one, you can get a nice one for under $20 at Sally Beauty Supplys nationwide and some that would even fit the blowdryer you already have. Try using gels that contain NO alcohol like Softee, Proclaim and Ampro protein styling gels, these are cheap but good (availabe at Sallys, walmart, doller stores etc.), they are brownish in color but will not stain anything. Alcohol in any form is very bad for your hair, it will dry it out and cause more damage and frizz in the long run then it controls short term. Do not use mousse, mousse will make your hair frizz more.... the only people who should use mousse are those who WANT to have poofy hair. Also try a good glossing polish/frizz eliminator like Proclaim Glossing Polish (available at Sallys also for about $6) or Garnier Fructeise also carries one but the Proclaim is much better and will last longer. When blow drying use a medium or low setting unless you are using a diffuser. You can try putting your fingers across the blowdryer to make an impromptu diffuser until you can get one. Also have your hair trimmed regularly, atleast every 12 weeks. The average person grows 1/2 an inch of hair in 4 weeks so if you trim off about 1/4 of an inch every 10 - 12 weeks you can grow your hair out if you want and at the same time keep the dead and dry ends off and that will help lesson the "poofyness" alot. try using a smoothing shampoo and conditioner, they won't take out your curl but will help hydrate them and make them lay better. Take a good multi-vitamin and massage your scalp on a daily basis, these will help your over-all scalp and hair condtion.

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

I have really really curly hair and I'm 13 years old... I was wondering if you have any advice for how to style it for school and what products to use... Any help would be great!!

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

frizz-ease...you can buy it in the grocery store. the less you wash your hair, the more managable it will be. i let mine airdry, like don't even touch it after i get out of the shower, other than wrapping it in a towel and putting on frizz-ease. if you need to comb your hair, do it in the shower when the conditioner is in. after about an hour or two of airdrying, i get these lovely spiral curls that are soft and touchable, not sticky like with gel. my hair is not super curly, but pretty curly.

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

straighten it?

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

i discovered recently that if you leave your curls alone when they're drying they look their best. But if they get frizzy after the dry you could try a smoothing treatment from almost any hair company. =]

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

I would invest in a de-frizz named Farouk. You can buy it at Target for about $11. If you have a little more money to spend, I would invest in a CERAMIC hair-straightener. You get what you pay for with hair straighteners, so the good ones do tend to be pricey, around $150-$200. Maybe a Christmas or birthday gift?

A straightener. Buy a nice one (it will not be cheap), but they work well. I am blessed with scissor straight hair, but a lot of my friends have curly hair, and a straightener really works for them, and their hair looks great!

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

i had the same problem, and the ONLY thing that seems to work is to pat it dry, then use the tiniest (about pea size) amount of conditioner and rub that through your hair, then scrunch only for a couple seconds. then leave it alone!!!!!!! i use the herbal essences brand, and it hasnt let me down yet! good luck.

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

I'm about your age and have really curly hair. I started straightening my hair around 13 every day and only made my curls worse. dont straighten it often. indulge your curls! buy LA looks curl gel and put it in right after you shower. it takes the frizz away and lets you wear your hair down, curls and all. (i have really frizzy, insanely curly hair, and it works for me!) its also really cheap. but its amazing. i just put some in after a shower, and go to school. it does all the work for you.

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

I have extremely short hair and I need to keep it cut short. If I let if get long, my hair becomes very thick and frizzy. I make sure I get my hair cut every 6 to 8 weeks. Curly hair tends to also be dry, so only wash every 2 to 3 days. I make sure I use a de-frizz product and never blow dry my hair. I let my hair dry naturally. Don't be afraid to let your hair dry in its natural hair - people try to brush it - don't! Good luck and remember we are the lucky ones - people have to have their hair styled for hours to create our look.

Help with Curly Hair??!!?

honey, i got you, IMBRACE YOUR CURLS! if you dont like it in your face get a cute headband or ribbon to hold it. wear it down and use either frizease or the garnier fructice line, there is a product called Curls Up! and it works AMAZING it makes them smooth and manageable. shake our hair and have fun with it. straightening hair that is so curly will kill you. but! if you can get cute little clamps or pins and twist 3 or 4 ringlets together and clamp them all to one side... it looks super cute and takes like 5 minutes, you can even do it in the bus (i have done it) if you have any more questions let me know, my hair used to drive me crazy and just recently i shaved my head O_O but i used to have curly crazy frizzy hair to my butt. and it is hard and a pain to take care of but its so much fun to have, also at claire's they have these things called hair jewls that twist into your hair, only use those if you have your hair in a ponytail or some what tied back because if they get knotted into your hair they are impossible to get out. but little clips and pins with jewels are PERFECT.
