I have frizzy, long, and wavey. How can i make it look naturally curly?

My hair is long, wavy and frizzy. I dont like to blow dry it in summer time because its so HOT. So how can i make it look cruly and how should i style it in the front. because its so thick. and what kind of product should i use.

well, the best way to do this would be to tip your head upside down and blow dry it with a difuser...that would definetly make it curly...

but, if you dont feel like blowdrying, there are a few things you can do that would make it less "heavy" so it would curl easier...

first, you should get a haircut. add a lot of layers, especially around the front...the shorter you cut wavy hair, the curlier it gets. i'm not saying you have to cut your length off, you can still have it long, but with lots of layers!! you should also get it thinned out...that will remove alot of weight, so it doesn't just "hang" there.

you should use a curl enhancer (try Paul Mitchell Round Trip, or I think Toni %26amp; Guy makes a good one too). try to stay away from gel for 2 reasons...one, gel is very heavy, and will weigh your hair down, and two, gel usually has a very high alcohol content, which will make it dry and frizzy. try using a mousse instead. mix the mousse w/ a curl enhancer, use a little bit of a defrizzer (Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum is amazing)apply gernerously, comb through, then tip your head upside down and scruch scrunch scrunch!!!

my hair used to be like that untill i cut it to be a little longer than sholder length and put in a few layers and made sure it was thinned out.

I the same kind of hair and when i get out of the shower i dont dry it either..i juss put mouse (or h.e u spell it) in my hair and it should make it curly then put gel in it to it will hold but you have to scrunch. it works great for me...and if its too thick then u can juss scrunch it in layers

Frize ease may help, also use some sort of hot oil treatment

I like using smoothing serums because they get rid of all the frizz and make your waves/curls more defined. Also, scrunching your hair (grabbing your hair and squeezing while pushing up) while its wet helps. Then after scrunching and when your hair is about 80% dry, set your hair dryer to "cool" setting so its not so hot and dry it the rest of the way. And if you want your hair to curl better, a shorter cut with layers helps and my favorite product is john freida flawless finish secret weapon.

Try using the Aussie products, put mousse in your hair and scrunch it. It will make your hair look really cute and if you try adding some gel it will look curlier instead of wavy. Don't blow dry your hair because that will make it even frizzier. Friz ease is a good idea, but so is letting your hair air dry, while combing or brushing it while it's drying.

i used to have that hair so I think I can help ( though I cut it all off). I used garnier fructis products like curling mousse and spray gel. The hair wont look curly right away, but after about a week of daily use, it should start to create curls. It's a process of training you hair. Depending on your natural curl/wave is how curly your hair will be. In the front, I always had long bangs to the side and either blowdry those so they're basically straight or if you have sideswept bangs, strighten them and curl them in so they don't look completely different than the rest of the hair. Hope I'm of some help!

I have the same hair and I recently started applying product and scrunching immediately after my shower even before I put it in a towel. My friend's hair stylist gave her this tip and it really works. I use a light weight gel from Aveda, but should find a product that works best for your hair. Once your hair is starting to dry you could add mousse and do the cool hair dryer thing someone else suggested. Adding shine enhancers helps when your hair is dry.

John Frieda Frizz-ease products work really well on hair that frizzes in the rain/heat/humidity. You can find John Frieda products at convenient/grocery stores for cheaper and it works really well. I was surprised when I used it and now I wont leave the house without it in my hair!

Also a good product that stops frizz and enhances curls/waves is Aveda (be curly). You can find it at most salons that carry Aveda products or an Aveda store it's around $16.

A nice way to style it in the front could be pull your bangs back wether they are long or short and you could do the bang-bump on top of you head. If you have long bangs you could pull them to each side of your head and hold them up in the back with a cute clip! Also, flowers are in and you could place a flower behind your ear and wear your hair behind your ear on one side of your head. It's cute flirty and in style!

curling iron or sleep on it while it's wet. That always works for me.
